This morning my coach asked in our accountability group, “What is your Why?” We each shared why we started this health journey and what keeps us motivated.
For me, it’s simple. - I want to set an example to my husband and kids that making health a priority is so important. Our kids, especially, learn how to treat themselves by the way we treat ourselves. - I want to be fit and healthy to lessen my chances of inheriting diabetes, high cholesterol and cancer, which runs on both sides of my family. - I want to have energy to keep up with our kids’ activities and to be able to live life in the arena, alongside them.
All of us lead a busy lifestyle, but self care is so vital if we’re going to be equipped to handle the things life throws our way. The cool thing is that it doesn’t take much time. I’ve found effective workouts I can do in 20-30 mins a day from home. That’s quicker than it would even take me to drive to a gym, completely eliminating excuses. And I’ve found nutrition plans that are simple and doable for my family.
