When I first started working on freelance, communicating with clients was incredibly difficult for me. It seemed that at any cost I had to please everyone, to be as good as possible with them, and to promise unachievable things… As a result, it brought nothing but problems👎
Today I wish to share these small but important tips on how to win over your customers and overcome the most common mistakes freelancers might face:
💪Be more confident.
If, when communicating with a client, you doubt about your abilities, he will feel it in any way and it will result in reducing the price of the services you provide. What may help you is learning new things and deepening your proficiency.
All the people are pleased when someone is sincerely interested in their problems. Frankly speaking, so do I🙈. For many customers, account on Instagram or a website or any other service they order, is more than just a number of photos and texts. It is the face of the whole project. Every successful online business is a piece of soul and knowledge of the customer. Freelancer’s task is to understand and feel them!
If there is an opportunity to joke, feel free to dare! It will help you to become closer and switch to a friendly tone. Also, it’s a kind of check. In reality, it’s a real torture to cooperate with humorless people.
📝Discuss the correction matters in advance.
It is completely normal that someone may dislike your work from the first attempt. Don’t defend yourself or search for excuses. It’s not you who are bad, but tastes differ.
Try to understand what exactly your client doesn’t like. Sometimes these can be completely minor details.
