So as I was on holiday last week there was no Bootcamp, I did go swimming a few times and managed one 7k bike ride in Wareham Forest, but the not following the eating plan meant I was feeling a bit derailed this weekend.
This afternoon I popped into Tesco and bought a pair of jeans. A size 18 pair of jeans to be precise, as my next target pair to fit into. When I got home and tried them on they only blinken’ well fitted!! I know I’m constantly reminded by @run_shelley_run & @sophiejorobinson on many occasions that clothing sizes are dodgy and are so depending on brand and cut it’s not an exact science. I do get this, I still have Girlguiding polo shirts that despite loosing 7.5 stone don’t fit (Girlguiding leaders out there will know this pain!). HOWEVER... sizing inconsistency aside, and just to put this in context, I haven’t fitted into an item of clothing that started with a 1 since I was at secondary school!!! Also, I couldn’t believe it when I was in the shop that I was pulling an item from the middle of the shelf, I’m so used to going straight to the back of the rail. In fact, it’s an actual fact that this time last year Tesco would not have stocked a pair of jeans big enough to fit me!
I also tried on my Tshirt tonight, that I wore to the Severn Bridge in September last year and to my first Bootcamp session!
