Moab 240 Mile Endurance Run ✅ A year ago I stumbled across this race on an Instagram post and thought ‘that’s ridiculous, how can someone run that far, what idiots - use a car.’ Yesterday, I ran that far (and maybe am an idiot - fine with it). Even lining up for the race I really didn’t think I would finish. It’s a pretty damn cool thing to pull something off you didn’t think was possible. Gotta say - highly recommend putting yourself out there and swinging for the bleachers once in a while. Back yourself and take a chance, you just might surprise yourself. And honestly, in the end, why the hell not? Sure, you might even fail, like David Goggins did on the first try (due to complications entirely beyond his control), but like he showed yesterday, use the experience to build on and come back even stronger. Overall, this race was an unreal experience, one that I also dedicated to the memory of Gill Scheiber. It was a battle for sure, one I wanted to fight with the same strength she fought her battle with cancer, and I hope I lived up to that. We are raising a bit of money for cancer research in her name, so if you would like to throw in some $, and for more details, check the link in my profile. Also a huge thank you to @jskypeck, who signed up to crew me about a week before on the fly with absolutely no fcking idea what he was getting into. Absolutely could not have finished this race without you (and the beloved ‘Good Jeep’) - huge thanks for making sure I was always fueled up, especially with whisky at mile 201 at midnight at 10,000ft on the freezing La Sals mountains 💪. Also thank y’all for all the messages and support. Very cool seeing all the encouragement and interest from friends and family all over the world. On to the next ridiculous adventure, hit me with suggestions, and more importantly -go out and find yours! 🤠🕺🔥 #lfg #moab240 @sam_ed_h @jskypeck @destinationtrailraces @cameronrhanes @davidgoggins 📸 #1: Finish line vid.
