Mirkan Tunç, from Turkey, is author of this picture, which was selected among the best ones of the 2018 Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads contest. "I visited the city where my friend lives. The tea fields surrounded his house. We wandered around together; we encountered the workers in the tea fields and talked to them. It was at that time that I took this picture”. From tea, coffee or other beverages to ingredients such as spices, grains and rice, pasta and noodles, dairies, barbecue, bread, recipes and dishes -- Gastronomy brings together people and forms the foundations of our cultural identity and cultural exchanges.
