The most beneficial exercise you can do for overall body strength is the deadlift. It can also be one of the most dangerous without implementing proper form, warming up, and using progressive resistance. Most of all, form is most important. This post goes over the most basic form requirements so that you can complete it safely. I am doing some learning myself today so this post won’t go on but is this as a general guideline next time you attempt the lift.
