It’s a pain in the ass on Sundays, sometimes Monday’s because it can take a couple hours depending on how many meals you’re making. •• It is ESPECIALLY difficult during this time of the year with all the family get togethers and holiday parties. So many tasty temptations around every corner... cookies, egg nog, and drinks every where. •• But that’s exactly why we’re doing it in the first place. To make sure we stay on track. Post workout meal! I prepped these babies on Sunday and so glad I did. I’ve been coming home from the gym so hungry and these have been hitting the spot every night. I top these with a nice yolky fried egg and salsa right before serving. ( bowls consist of 93% lean ground turkey, cubed sweet potatoes, green and red bell peppers, mushrooms and spinach. 36 grams of protein/serving! )

Vegan Lentil Meatballs⁣ 🍝⁣ ⁣⁣ I can’t believe how amazing these turned out!! Spaghetti Squash alfredo with Chix & Sausage! • • • Ingredients: Spaghetti Squash Kale Broccoli Cabbage Chix Anduille Sausage Alfredo 1/2 jar or make your own Fresh Parm/Romano to top it off! • • • Halve the squash and sprinkle with S&P and bake side down 20 min. Sautee meat with garlic chop, wash and mix all veggies in over to cook and steam. This is my favvvv way to eat sweet potato... roasted in the oven with heaps of seasoning 😋 I cut it into small cubes when I’m in a rush and need it to cook quickly... these take about 15-20 mins to roast, and it’s a great addition to salads, meal prep, or even just to eat as a snack 🤤🍠

今天的主題“咖啡” 有些人喜歡它,有些人討厭它。對我來說,我不是咖啡的忠實fan,但我相信,早上或鍛煉前喝一杯咖啡會有好處。點解?因為咖啡因會提升皮質醇”Cortisol” 而能量是由皮質醇產生的,皮質醇可以令我們有效地減少脂肪並提升訓練效果。但是,Cortisol長時間提升的話並不理想,相反,這可能會減慢我們的恢復能力,從而減慢燃燒脂肪。所以,我建議早上飲一杯咖啡提高集中力,然後再去上班或健身房。但是不要喝太多,因為”咖啡因”會上癮的。😉 Today’s topic “COFFEE” Some people love it, some people hate it. To me I’m not a huge fan of coffee but I believe that it can be beneficial for having a cup of coffee in the morning or before a workout. Why? Because caffeine raises “Cortisol”. And energy is produced by it. Cortisol is needed for maximising fat loss and optimising training performance and focus. But Cortisol raises for a prolonged period of time isn’t ideal, instead this could slow down our recovery ability which leads to a slow down of fat loss. So.. having it in the morning can definitely give you a boost before you go to work or gym. Introducing my winter immune building açaí bowl! ⠀⠀ Been feeling under the weather and knew I needed a boost of nourishment! A scratchy throat called for cold and soothing foods, so here’s what I created: ⠀⠀ (Disclaimer: this is not sweet at all so if you prefer a bit of sweetness, add some maple syrup or a banana) ⠀⠀ • a handful each of frozen mango and frozen beets • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower • 1 frozen açaí packet • almond milk • 2 tsps of honey (adjust to your liking. I could’ve used another natural sweetener but I needed honey for my throat) • Blend it up, adding almond slowly for your desired consistency • I added a shot of Ningxia red for more immune boosting power • I topped with mixed berries, hemp and chai seeds, chopped pecans and a little bit of peanut butter ENJOY!!!!!

Having Sockeye Salmon for dinner tonight so thought I got extra to use for a Make Ahead Meal. Seasoned and sealed one half while the other half cooked, because I believe if you’re gonna be in the kitchen, BE in the kitchen and get the lost out of it. Sealed salmon will stay fresh for a year (or longer) thanks to my @foodsaver (but it’s won’t last that long around here since we like our seafood. Since the salmon was on sale, this is a great way to stock up on things while making sure we eat healthy regardless of what the food costs that week. I'm not a big fan of Equal sweetener. They always leave that aftertaste. But I saw these in the store. I picked up the Gingerbread Friday and it was surprisingly good.
